Donna Jaynes

Speech & Language Therapist

I am a paediatric Speech and Language Therapist with over 18 years of experience and a loving mum to two gorgeous girls. I’m also a certified Sounds-Write practitioner and hold an Oxford, Cambridge and RSA Level 5 qualification in teaching students with dyslexia and specific learning differences.

I have a passion for language and literacy intervention which grew exponentially while teaching daily reading, spelling, and writing groups at Fairley House School in London, a specialist school for children with dyslexia and other specific learning differences.

I also enjoyed supporting the broader communication needs of children in previous roles as a Speech and Language Therapist for the Ministry of Education, The UK’s National Health Service (NHS), specialist schools in London and in various private clinic settings.

When it comes to enhancing a child’s communication and literacy skills, I combine my experience as a mum, speech-language therapist and specialist literacy teacher to offer practical advice that can be incorporated into daily routines and busy day-to-day life! I also believe the magic happens when a combination of effective whole-school/centre and whole-class approaches are combined, with targeted small-group or one-to-one interventions tailored for the needs of each individual child. I have experience in supporting approaches that work at all of these levels and love seeing the transformation that occurs in a child’s communication skills, confidence and self-belief when they start to see their own progress and success.
