“My 4-year-old son was very difficult to understand. He had trouble pronouncing words and was often getting frustrated due to limitations in what he could explain verbally. Donna worked with him for nearly two years, developing his articulation, vocabulary and ability to form sentences. She also made sure I was well equipped to continue working with him throughout the week. Donna had a great understanding of his difficulties and all the small steps he needed to take to become the chatty confident child he is now. “We approached Donna for advice when our son was 22 months old. He had less than 10 words and was getting frustrated when he was unable to get his message across. On Donna’s advice, we arranged for our son’s hearing to be checked, and found out he had glue ear. Following successful treatment of his hearing difficulties, Donna taught us techniques to develop his vocabulary and he quickly changed from being a hesitant communicator to a confident and expressive talker, exceeding our expectations of what was possible for him. “My son had speech therapy with Donna when he was 4 years old. He had verbal dyspraxia. He is now 16 years old, and we recently visited the college he plans to enroll, next to where he had speech therapy. I recently read the report Donna wrote for him as I had to send it to the college for my son to get exam access arrangements.
